“I have so many of Carol's lovely scarves and I enjoy wearing each and every one of them. I come and have a browse and you make a note of my special favourites so that my husband can come and happily buy the right thing! My house is filled with your pictures, cushions and even a wall hanging. All done exactly to my colours and sizes – I never have to compromise on interior decoration. Everyone who comes in admires them.”
- Susanna Thomas, Swindon“Carol’s scarves are works of art, each one unique and beautiful. I have been buying them for years and have a wonderful collection, which I wore every day for work as they brighten up and glamourise a dark business suit. I know I can go to her studio and always find something beautiful. I took someone there to choose a special birthday gift. She told Carol the colours she likes wearing and chose the type of silk and shape of scarf and, weeks later, I was able to send her a gift that I knew she would love and wear for years, hand painted especially for her.”

“Dear Carol, It is so difficult to pick out my favourite scarves. I really love them and never cease to be amazed at your skill, talent and attention to detail. My collection brings back happy memories of the early days in the studio, the development of materials and range of subjects and the appreciation of new designs. One of my early scarves and still a favourite has to be the large blue with the autumnal leaves. The four corners with the different leaves and colours are so clever and the vibrant background brings them to life though I admit that the two long scarves with the two different greens and the rich shades of the fruit and leaves are admirable. How clever of you to make the border of the Christmas one a beautiful festive red.
The poppy scarves are wonderful. The large square with the big, bold red flowers is so effective – it has been much admired. My cousins and sister in law are thrilled with theirs and they are all different!! And I know we all think we have the best one!!! Looking back I realise that the poppy draws the same reception as the Spring yellow scarf. The details of the narcissi, jonquils and daffodils with their leaves and the bright border are so detailed. I have been stopped in the street by strangers asking where I found it! Perfect to wear on St. Piran’s day – March 5th in Cornwall – it brings the promise of Spring and warmer days! When I wore it on a visit to Finland before Easter children and adults wanted to touch it and admire the colours and details. Yellow is not an easy colour to wear but on a black velvet suit or coat it is stunning I never cease to wonder at he most detailed work on some of the scarves and hangings. The sunflowers and lilies are fantastic.
One of my most faithful scarves has been the long rectangular blue/purple pansy one!!! Surprised? It is so useful because it blends in with so many outfits and the texture is easy. The subtle use of silver, amber and bright green means that the colours shade so well. It is always packed in my holiday suitcases! I must admit that the scarves have been hand luggage across the ocean on more than one occasion!
Thank you for letting me browse with no pressure. I love to see the designs. It has been difficult to pinpoint individual scarves. I forget to mention the’ Klimt’ long one, the underwater ones, the blue velvet one, the incredible detail of the white lilies on navy-blue – hours and hours of work there…and so I could go on and on.”
